Retail Portal Updates Begin Next Month
The U.S. EPA has contracted with ESE Solutions to enhance and publicize its Retail Industry Portal. As part of that effort, we will be providing regular updates beginning next month via this newsletter including:
- New and proposed regulations
- Enforcement actions
- Voluntary program updates on new retail partners, success stories, awards, etc.
- Green Retail Decisions column by ESE Solutions’ President, Jesse LaRose, with practical advice on how retailers can partner with the EPA to drive environmental programs (recycling, product donation, energy management, green merchandising, transportation and supply chain) within their organizations

As part of his Sustainable Communities Week, Congressman Bill Keating is hosting a series of workshop for local business owners on energy efficiency.

ESE Solutions’ President to be Inaugural Columnist for Green Retail Decisions
ESE Solutions’ President, Jesse LaRose, will be the first columnist for Green Retail Decisions, the global leader in sustainability information for retailers. The columns will cover how retailers have succeeded in various sustainability initiatives through, in part, by leveraging governement resources such as those provided by the U.S. EPA. RILA Hosts Webinar featuring U.S. EPA and ESE Solutions
On November 16th, 2010, the Retail Industry Leader’s Associated hosted a webinar featuring Tracy Back of the U.S. EPA and Jesse LaRose of ESE Solutions. The webinar: Explore EPA’s Retail Industry Portal & Share Your Ideas for Improvements, is part of the effort being led by ESE Solutions as a contractor of the EPA to enhance and publicize the Portal.
EPA created the Retail Industry Portal to support the specific needs of the retail industry in collaboration with RILA, NRF and FMI. The Retail Industry Portal provides one-stop access to the many programs and resources available to help prevent and resolve environmental issues at retail establishments. To better meet retailers’ needs, EPA contracted with ESE Solutions to solicit feedback from retailers to improve the Portal.

That National Retail Federation has announced speakers for it’s BIG SHOW taking place January 9-12 in New York City. ESE Solutions Wins Contract with Environmental Protection Agency
ESE Solutions has been awarded a contract with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide enhancements and publicize the EPA’s Retail Industry Portal. The EPA launched the Portal in 2009 to assist retailers in quickly finding the information they need to: understand and comply with environmental regulations; and voluntarily go beyond regulatory obligations to protect the environment for future generations.
Under the terms of this contract, ESE Solutions will provide a number of services that leverage its retail experience to enhance the Portal including: revamping Portal navigation, content display and organization; developing case studies highlighting public/private partnership programs; and publicizing the Portal through press releases, webinars, retail industry events and direct contact with environmental managers at leading retailers.

ESE Solutions to Conduct Workshop and Moderate Panel at Reverse Logistics Trade Show
